Greetings from Anise and baby "Peanut". I am starting this blog to keep family and friends updated on my pregnancy, with the hopes that it will continue to evolve over time. I wanted to begin in time for Mother's Day, but I was too exhausted in the first trimester. Now, at 14 weeks, I am launching in time for Father's Day instead. So, on this occasion, I wanted to tell you a little bit about our Donor Dad.

Our donor is 35 years old, 5'9" with blue eyes and blond hair. He is a smart cookie -- completing an Economics degree with a 3.9 GPA. He loves outdoor activities including rock climbing, hiking, mountain climbing, backpacking, surfing, and skateboarding. Our donor is creative as well -- he sings and plays acoustic guitar, and makes mosaics from magazine scraps. I was very touched by his mosaic creation pictured below. He says "Flowers do and always will bring me warm feelings of family and love."
In terms of personality, our donor says he is "extremely animated and sincerely outgoing." The staff described him having "a very strong, outgoing and cheerful personality. He is very entertaining"
Peanut's paternal grandmother is a lawyer and an avid flower gardener. She also plays the piano, guitar, and sings. Peanut's paternal grandfather was also a lawyer, but then achieved a doctorate in biochemistry in his 70's!
Our Donor Dad shares some of his philosophy for life: "Life is too short to do things you do not enjoy." "Live for the day and do what you love." "Family is important and forever." I am extremely grateful for the gift of new life, and our donor's contribution. I am also happy that when Peanut is 18 years old, we can contact the Donor Dad.
