The fall has quickly slipped by me! Since September, I’ve had seven trips out of town and have surpassed my $8 million sales goal for 2015. Between work and keeping up with my precious toddler, I have certainly fallen down on the Blog front! So here I am to catch up.
Tucker is really enjoying his preschool class. They have been making lots of fun art projects throughout the fall holidays. We had a special brownie bite snack with his class Tuesday afternoon for Tucker’s birthday. And on Thursday, they had a Holiday pajama party with cocoa and a book exchange.
Tucker attended 3 Halloween parties this year and went trick or treating for the first time. He also enjoyed handing out candy to other children. We dressed as Superman and Lois Lane.
We had a nice quiet Thanksgiving week at home. And our major accomplishment was learning to use the potty. We had invitations for both lunch and dinner so I got my fill of delicious food. We had a great time with my friends, Cyndi and Ron (also known as Mimi and Pop).
Tucker had an awesome Santa Snoopy Birthday party at our house last weekend. We had 15 friends in attendance including 7 children. We ate snacks out of dog bowls and decorated paper dog bones. Everyone left with a stuffed Santa Snoopy from Grandma April’s collection. I was really happy to see the Snoopy’s going to good homes!
Earlier this month, Tucker went to a pancake breakfast with Santa. He was hesitant about getting into Santa’s sleigh so Mommy had to come along. This weekend we are traveling to Palestine, TX to ride on the Polar Express Train Ride. Tucker is obsessed with “choo choo’s” so we are excited about this big event. And we are looking forward to the Flowers family coming to our house for Christmas this year.
Tucker’s has made a lot of developmental accomplishments this fall. In September I converted his crib to a toddler bed. This had a magical effect in that he learned to put himself to sleep instead of being rocked by Mommy. Tucker still enjoys being Mommy’s helper around the house with cleaning (he loves to wipe down surfaces with the sponge), laundry, dishes etc. He also likes to help with dressing and brushing his teeth. And he has very definite ideas about our routines and how things should be done. For a few months now Tucker has been fascinated with the concept of “High.” He talks a lot about putting objects (or himself) up High. He has begun to be attached to a few stuffed animals over the last few weeks -- a stuffed sheep and a two foot tall Santa Snoopy. I am so amused to see him drag these large objects around the house, to the car, and into his bed. And even though I talk about Snoopy a lot, Tucker still insists on calling him “Mickey Mouse”!!
Tucker is sometimes independent, noncompliant, and upset -- Just as he perfectly should be for his age. He is a delightful Two year old and we are looking forward to a Terrific year ahead. So we won’t be using that other “T” word!
Happy Holidays and hugs from the Flowers.
